West Ham plotting raid of Portugal's Primeira Liga as they target three more recruits

West Ham are looking to add to the signing of Xande Silva from Guimaraes as they look to continue to strengthen their squad in preparation for the new season.

In addition to the Portuguese attacking midfielder, they are also targeting Porto duo Moussa Marega, as advanced earlier this week, and Yacine Brahimi, in addition to Benfica's young prospect João Felix, who has been in and around the first-team squad this pre-season despite still only being 18 years of age.

An exit would not come as a surprise for Marega, who has been claiming that this would be the correct time to pursue new challenges throughout the summer, and a move to the Premier League would be a preferable option for the Porto striker.

Marega was in sublime form for Porto last season as he helped the side win the league title for the first time in five years, netting 22 goals in just 29 league games, and has shown his ability throughout his last three seasons in Portugal, starting at Maritimo where he netted 12 times in 29 league appearances, before getting 13 in 25 league games while on loan from Porto at Guimaraes.

Brahimi has also been outstanding throughout his career with the current Portuguese champions and has been linked with a move to some of the top club in England over the last couple of seasons. The technical Algerian winger, who has been capped 39 times, would be well accustomed to the English game with his pace, trickery and explosiveness on the wing.

Felix, meanwhile, currently of Benfica, is yet to play for the senior side in a competitive match, but his skill, confidence on the ball and footballing intelligence at such a young age has made him one of the best players to come out of the Benfica academy this century, and to lose him so early into his career would be a bitter blow to Benfica fans around the world who have huge expectations of the 18-year old.
