Sevilla sign Europa League star striker - what does this mean for Portugal's Andre Silva?

Sevilla have completed the survey of Israeli striker Moanes Dabour from RB Salzburg.

The 28-year old forward, has represented his country 12 times, will remain with his current Austrian club until the of the season before joining up with Sevilla in the summer.

Dabour, who was a transfer target of Liverpool, signs with the La Liga club until 2023.

He has been in sublime form for the Austrian champions this season, bagging 9 goals and 4 assists in 18 league games, as well as 6 goals in as many Europa League matches to lead his side to top of their Europa League group.

His arrival at Sevilla does put the future of Portugal's Andre Silva in doubt though, who is currently on loan at the Spanish club from AC Milan.

With Ben Yedder already also in the side, who currently sit 3rd in the league - above Real Madrid - the club may decide that they do not need to act on the clause in Andre Silva's loan deal that would allow the Portuguese international to stay at Sevilla.

That clause is believed to around 35 million euros and, with the club now having spent approximately 20 million on Dabour, they may wish to invest that money elsewhere.

The current Sevilla sports director, Joaquín Caparrós, did suggest that Andre Silva still has a future at the club, stating that both he and Dabour are "totally compatible".

However, with a trio of high-profile strikers, one cannot be certain where Andre Silva's future lies beyond next summer.
