Famalicao sign young Porto prospect Diogo Queiros having already signed Benfica's Dyego Sousa
Famalicao have completed the signing of highly-rated Porto centreback Diogo Queiros, who was one of the players who helped Porto win the UEFA Youth League in 2019.
In a surprise move, the 21-year old defender, who was for a long time seen as a future first-team player at the Portuguese champions, signs for Famalicao on a permanent deal, joining the club on a thee-yea contact.
Queiros, in addition to his Youth League triumph in 2019, helped Portugal to win both the U17 and U19 European Championships in 2016 and 2018 respectively.
Famalicao had already completed another solid signing, bringing in former Braga star striker, and Portugal international, Dyego Sousa on a loan deal from Shenzhen.
The Brazilian-born target man has represented Portugal twice, though was out of favour at Benfica after enduring a frustrating season last campaign, where he failed to find the back of the net in 13 appearances.
Sousa adds some more attacking quality to Famalicao, who have lost Toni Martinez to FC Porto. He will provide additional competition to Leonardo Campana and Ruben Del Campo.
