Porto qualify for the next round of the Champions League - and are the group winners

Porto went into their clash with Schalke knowing they had already qualified for the next round of the Champions League, but earned a 3-1 victory over the Germans to secure top spot in the group.

Porto dominated throughout the game, and could consider themselves unfortunate to go into the break with the score still level.

However, they didn't have to wait long after half time to take the lead, with Eder Militão heading home in the 52nd minute.

And having had to wait so long to finally take the lead, Porto managed to double their lead just three minutes later, Jesus Corona squeezing the ball in at the near post.

However, while Porto should have built up an even larger advantage, the lead remained precarious, and when Schalke were awarded a soft penalty with just a minute remaining, Porto's hard-earned victory was under threat, with Nabil Bentaleb converting from the spot.

However, Porto had the last laugh, Moussa Marega confirming the victory with a stoppage time strike.
