Diogo Gonçalves sent out on loan
Benfica winger Diogo Gonçalves is set to embark on a new challenge.
After a disappointing loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season, Gonçalves is heading for another year away from Benfica in an attempt to revitalise his career.
He joins what appears to be Jorge Mendes' latest project, being the latest recruit of newly-promoted Portuguese outfit Familicão for the upcoming season.
He will be hoping for better fortune this time around compared to last campaign, where with Nottingham Forest he ultimately played just 7 league games, very rarely even named in the match day squad, let alone the starting eleven.
He is joined at Familicão on loan by fellow Benfica player Guga Rodrigues, a midfielder who was out on loan at Greek side Panetolikos during the 2018-19 campaign.
